I am getting bored with different series of coins and am now considering just buying bullion for a while. Any advice that you can give me or do I just buy whatever I can get for cheap??

I must say though, at your local B&M store you could easily find collectible silver to flip on ebay or just hold onto but not very common though.

Do you want the cool old pour silver bars? Some are very neat, then there are those that collect fractional silver, those that collect a certain company like only JM silver like Cars on here, the art bars with their neat pictures, etc.

For a while, I bought all .999 rounds a bunch of different designs. Then I got into 5 & 10 ounce bars, then 1oz. art bar ingots
and the whole time I was buying 90% coinage in between.
My tastes have changed in regards to my silver collection and in the end, I feel good about having a diverse amount.
As an obvious general rule, you should pay as little over current spot price as you can whichever direction you choose.

How to invest in silver

I buy bullion as an investment. I stick to name brand bars/rounds that are easy to sell. I also try to buy in quanity and on the dips. I started buying the 100 oz bars but now I find the 10 0Z, and 1 OZ if bougt in quanity and sold in small quanaties on the Bay bring a better return.
As long as silver contiues it's upward trend you can't go wrong. Just remember that what goes up will not go up forever. It's kind of like a roller coasater ride it can go up quick and down even quicker.
I'm personally not buying at these prices, I'm selling. If/when it should break below eleven I'll probably load up.
If you don't own any I would advise getting your feet wet even at these prices with a goal of at least 5% of your portfolio. I'm personally probably overloaded in my %, it just makes me sleep better.
Good Luck and take care. jws
Collecting: Spot price is not really a factor for small pieces and some large pieces. Its all personal preference.
For example, start a stockpile of 90% junk silver, as you can pick it up for a good price, a stack of JM and/or Englehard bars, and possibly a world mint silver round collection (ASE's, Maple Leafs, Philharmonics, Libertads, etc.)
With this kind of strategy, you will be getting some at spot, some at slightly above spot, and some that will probably always carry some sort of premium to spot. You also won't get bored so easy, and can turn it into a collection instead of a hoard if you would like by looking for the harder to find ones (weird sized/different types of bars, harder to find round, etc.)
I knew it would happen.
These guys won't steer you wrong!!!
