Potter? Jeeze, I went head to head w/him back in the day with the Wisconsin quarter. He was wrong I was right, no big deal. He still has his mis-information on his website. But it cast doubt.
Does not surprise me that he would slam these. I'm guessing they are too small or plentiful......or maybe the errors are in the 'wrong place' as the extra leafs were. Or maybe they are not errors......don't care to read his articles.
We've known for quite some time DDRs are found in bank rolls, although Forum members are reluctant to accept that. They think that DDRs are exclusive to LP2s.

How would you compare the quality of the bank roll cents and the mint box cents? The only ones I've seen so far are from mint boxes and majority are gem at least MS65. Thanks.
I was pointing out the fact that an early DDR that was only known to come from LP2 boxes, are just now showing up in bank boxes! Reference to my post above WDDR-004. Maybe the big ones are going to come out of bank boxes to. WDDR-006 etc?
Also found WDDO-001 in the same roll, I find this to be very interesting finds.
I have found al ot of the errors in bank rolls. I just purchased some of the childhood rolls, bank rolled Log Cabin P mnt and found CDDR-014 and 015 and one not listed yet. Has anyone else found the LP 1 errors?
I have been selling my graded WDDR 001'a and WDDR 002's (66's and 67's) for decent money and am seriously considering sending in another batch to ANACS.
I just got $160 for a set of ANACS graded WDDR 001 and 002's MS67. I don't mind selling them for this because I have so many more of them that I know I can get graded and come up with more 67's. That's a $120 profit!
I can't do links but the listing numbers are 150363854057 and 150363852522. I accepted $100 for the WDDR 001 and $60 for the WDDR 002.

Nice work. What was the turn around time for grading?
I most likely have some in my hundreds that have been put aside but I felt that was a good buy so I bought it. I will know what I have after I retire at the end of the year and decide to finally go through all of these things to sort them out. I have only looked for the WDDR 001's and 2's so far and of the 200 boxes have only eliminated about 500 pennies which will be headed for a coin counter machine at Smiths supermarket to cause some hopeful person some excitement.

(facing the coin) on the reverse. I have now discovered that these have a distinct die marker on the obverse as well. The date
has an elongation of the numbers horizontally. If you look at the "2" you will see a "blurring" that starts before the number and extends
through the complete date, almost underlining the date. I have found this marker on all of these extra blade of grass errors. So,
I'm not sure if this is regarded as a ddo or not. I know a couple of you have looked for this reverse error and acknowledged having seen
it, please look and see what you think of the obverse discovery and if it qualifies as a ddo. Thanks for helping me out. I still haven't sent
it in for attribution with Wexler, but I think this one may be strong enough to warrant the expense and potentially add yet another error to
the growing list. Looking forward to your input and observations about this "discovery"
edited to add: I'm still waiting for you to list your totals of each ddr/ddo as I have done in a recent reply. This is the only way we can
determine the rarity of one ddr or another and potentially enhance their individual values imho....please list totals whether graded or not...
Hopefully you have them catalogued to make it a little easier.....we may be facing an uphill battle in pushing our agenda in getting these
certified by the two major tpg's, but together we can keep them watching and considering the importance of these findings. We want
them to grade our varieties.....we are grading THEM in reverse for their consistencey and fairness in recognizing these errors! That is why
I feel it is important to find out which errors are the rarest, definitavely, by having a total count. I imagine that thousands of mint boxes
have been opened by now so we should have enough accounted for to give us a decent percentage spread. Again, I know it's a little
work to list them here, but I hope I've convinced you that it's worth the effort. I'll know soon enough if I have or not.....
The Beatles
WDDR 001 235
WDDR 002 461
All the others I have not separated but I have 100's of them and I also have 32 boxes of unopened rolls of prime dates.

I've found
60 double thumb
25 skeleton finger (all from four 4/23 boxes)
A roll w/ 1 skeleton on the end
1 roll w/ 1 double thumb on the end
Just not enough time in the day to continue going through rolls.
If you want to run a new thread to accumulate this info that may be helpful.

Now this is funny in a weird kinda way since there is still a 5 box limit on ordering these!
I tired ordering 5 more and the line was cancelled.
I wonder how many NEW customers the US Mint is getting for these as I see absolutely no way around that 5 box limit.
The name is LEE!

Nice work. What was the turn around time for grading?
Exactly what they said it would take.
will start with the 001, 002, and 006's... I just broke down, hadn't been buying any more boxes on the bay, but couldn't pass on five
boxes @ $20 ea. for 4/23 date. Love those 006/009's.

Successful Trades: Swampboy,

Those are very hard to find with the obverse and reverse die cracks.

Good prices, as three 4/23 went off last night for $38,$38, and $30. Right box times also.

You should have bought that one instead of searching !

$5-$7.50 and, as you know, everyone wants free shipping. When all is said and done, packaging materials, personal time to go to the
post office, etc. you might realize about $2-$4 profit. Hardly worth the effort in my estimation. Anyway, you'll have fun looking for these
errors. Those dates will contain some. Have fun and good luck! Time to go fishing!
The Beatles
I can not remember what those dates had in them either but you will not get much for the boxes right now on ebay. I would say just hold
them as they are. The price may go up in the future as an unopened box. I have a bunch of unopened boxes that I am just going to hold.
any boxes dated 4/27. Perhaps someone else can provide information of what to look for in those. Good luck.
that is.....
The Beatles
That was why I sold all my 4/27 boxes. I have hundreds of WDDR 002's. I remember now.
I also did some checking on what I have and located 15 of the skeleton fingers but they had no die crack so I am glad I bought that one today.
produce more of the skeleton fingers. 4/23 but earlier times than 09:00 so I'm not sure what to expect. If they are rare Pitboss, you might
have gotten a steal on that one. Congrats!
The Beatles
I really don't think there will be many of those.
The Beatles
I admit, some of them look cool, but it's a crack

obverse. I only use a loupe, so it's fairly easy to overlook at a quick glance. Plus, I wasn't aware of these until recently, so I just wasn't
looking for it. Pitboss, you might want to get back to yours and check them out.
I then proceeded to open one of my new 4/23 boxes. I found 6 of the 006's (1 with the obverse die crack), 13 wddr-010's, and 3 or 4
die cracks on the reverse "S" down to Lincoln's head. So, I'm very happy tonight with my new finds. The batch on this box is 9774
and the time was 08:10 for reference. Good night all.
