My grade just popped on this '52 Mantle. Anyone care to guess the grade?

Could be the scanner but the right edge looks miscut. If it holdered, I'd say PSA 2.

And the answer is................. 1.5 (NQ). I was a little surprised as I was expecting a 2 at the absolute worst. It does have a lower right corner crease and a small half inch crease on the right side. Oh well, what do you do. The other grades came back pretty nice.

If you don't mind me asking did you buy that card raw? or crack it from a previous slab?

I find it amazing when someone still finds one of these gems in raw form and actually gets it graded for the first time.

    Congratulations on the card.

I actually purchased it raw from an ex-collector who bought it in the 90s. I recently came across these other two, but was unable to agree upon a price. It is quite a rush touching the card raw.

Never got that far. It was a seller who knew nothing about cards, but thought everyone was trying to rip him off. They were from this person's uncle, and they also had a big stack of other '52s, all high numbers. There is still a chance I may get the cards.
