braddick: Very nice coin. It grabbed me in two distinct phases:
1) The color really appeals to me. It's really got some eye candy. I spent a minute looking at the color. Normally, green tints bother me, but I like how it works here. I love the fiery orange glow.
2) Then, my eyes (naturally) gravitate towards the eagles breasts. No, not chest. Breasts.

Great medal!!! Any info on it you care to share? >>
Thanks! It's one of those ultra large Roosevelt Presidential medals I picked up (has the heft and weight of like four silver dollars, or a bit more...). It has a touch of wear- God knows how that came about, but the natural tan/orange/golden green natural surfaces captivated me.

The first one is an eagle we purchased at an antique store in north-central FL and it measures approximately 24 inches high by 17 inches across and 7 inches deep with a weight of about 30-40 pounds. The next is a fabric and paper cast made from the working model for the Saint Gaudens eagle and is approximately 18 inches in diameter.
