Daily Dose of McGwire - 85 More Added - Thursday PM (Total Scans = 729)

At the suggestion of another board member - THANKS image I have decided to scan in my entire McGwire PSA collection. I have thought about it in the past, but this is my first real attempt. I will post in 20 card increments. I will try to get at least 20 a day scanned and posted. Comments through the process are always welcome. If you see holes in the collection and you have cards that will fill the holes or if you have upgrades, by all means, please contact me.

I will try to keep them in chronolological order as best I can.

Here goes the first 20:

1982 Anchorage thru 1987 Donruss #46

I wish more folks scanned for their registry, I like seeing cards from before my time, or my youth. I scanned my Griffey collection and its about 1700 cards

Nice stuff, Mike! McGwire and Canseco were my favorite players growing up. When McGwire came over to the Cardinals he became my hero. Obviously his name will forever be connected to a dark era in the game but I still appreciate what he meant to baseball back in the day and I credit him for my current love of the Cardinals. The Cardinals have always been my team, but I didn't really follow them until he came to St. Louis.

It's great that you're scanning these all in. Keep 'em coming. Would have to say that this one's my favorite so far... That's a great shot. Reminds me of the photography on the Topps cards of the early '70s.

Nice '88 Drake's! I love those cards, have a '86 and '88 panel with the Ripken, both graded 9's. Also have about 5 '87 panels that I need to send in to get graded.

Interesting collection, how many do you have? At 20 a day you will probably be at it for a month. Your only on 1988!!!

    Impressive collection so far.

Don't care too much for the modern stuff, but the minor league cards and boarderless 1987 ones I like a lot. Easily one of the 10 best firstbaseman in history

Rumors were Hank Aaron hit crosshand early in his career. Here is an odd picture of Sherry Magee

20 more. I am shooting for a minimum of 40/day with the hopes that I can get 100.

I like all of the Fleer Issues from the late 80's. Some of them are hard to find in high grades due to the fact that they are all packaged like cello packs then stuck into a cardboard box. I am missing the Fleer All-Stars #25 from 1988, but it is at PSA now, should come back at least a 9.

Mark sure looked "different" in the late 80's, then he did later on...

No matter, he was a joy to watch, through his entire career.

Also, I forgot how nice those Classic sets were!

    Great show, keep it up!

A little information on this card. It is actually a mechanical error. PSA has graded a few of the #3 Tiffany issues and given them a number of 3B. However, they show up in the composite as a the "White Triangle" version of the Tiffany card. But, there is no "White Triangle" version of the Tiffany card. Tiffany was only issued in Factory Set form, the "White Triangle" error occurs only in rack packs. PSA has decided against removing this from the McGwire Master Set composite, so this card is here to satisfy that line.

Why would PSA decide against that when it's obviously an error on their part and not a real card? Sometimes the decisions PSA makes just seem ridiculous.

22 more...The Pepsi Cola cards are tough to find and even tougher to find in high grade. They were issued in a small, tightly wrapped cello pack and only issed in Northern California. All of the Pepsi cards listed are the highest graded and are 1 of 1's except for #9 (PSA 7), there is one higher.
