Decided to give it another go in the yard today seeing how my last outing went so well. I must have learned a little as I actually found stuff this time. Again I dug every hit so I can figure this thing out. Was out for about half hour with better tools this time. Nothing special but here are the finds, I'm getting addicted to this
Found more junk & a few coins in my yard although nothing special. I was hoping to find some silver seeing as I live in a early 1900's house but nothing yet. Just keeping track of my finds
I still think there is a silver coin out there somewhere (the back half of our property was a county ballfield in the 1950s), but I lack the patience to go after it and always go elsewhere to greener pastures for my detecting.
I think the two-foot-long section of aluminum siding I hacked out of the back pasture pretty much did it for me hunting in my backyard. One coin turned up: a 1962 Memorial cent.
