I'm pretty sure it's an optical illusion. The center card is at a slight crook and the top edge of the image is very pixelated in the scan. If I had scanned it straighter, it wouldn have a smooth edge I believe.
Edited to add: to make matter worse I think I scanned that at 200 dpi and these cards are on really think cardstock...the CS1s bow them out a bit.

You're probably right! Having seen some of these in person, I wouldn't be surprised if they're making the rounds for a good laugh.
I think PSA should pin them up on a bulletin board prior to grading.
