In other words, you can't defend the Cowgirls or the Mets right now? Good call on the pics, there must be hundreds on google!

I think I see your problem with accepting reality. Either you can't count or you don't understand simple math.

    Brewers: 23-14
    Phillies: 20-16

23 minus 20 equals 3. We have 3 more wins and 2 fewers losses. >>

stalin has no comment on this, obviously.

    JS:

why won't you bet that the patsies won't win it all? How about this bet:

If the Bucs win the SB you owe me 50 bucks
If the Patsies win the SB I owe you 50 bucks
If neither team wins then no one owes anyone anything!

    LOL!!

Congratulations, joey. Your team has the worst record for a 1st place team.

    Dodgers 27-13 (.675)
    Blue Jays 27-14 (.659
    Milwaukee Brewers 24-14 (.632)
    Texas Rangers 23-14 (.622)
    Detroit Tigers 20-16 (.556)
    Philadelphia Phillies 20-16 (.556)

If the Phillies were in the toughest division in baseball, they'd be in 3rd place. (behind the Brewers & Cubs)

ESPN Power Rankings for May 18:
    Brewers 4th
    Phillies 9th

The only thing that is holding us back is the starting pitching, I can't think of ANY team that is more feared on the offensive side of the ball than
the Phils, I mean, heck even you can admit that!

Are you going to pay Perk the $50.00 you owe him?
    STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

It's amazing JS can find the time to post when his team happens to win a game or two. But as soon as they start losing he disappears. I guess I can look forward to August and September, as it will probably be pretty quiet around here when the Phillies are out of the playoff race. image

A game or two? Open up a newspaper Chris, we are atop the NL East! Are you a Mets fan also?

I'll be honest with you. I used to be a big fan of Ryan Howard (I went to college with him) and most of the Phillies. But then I found these boards and the over-the-top, annoying Phillies fans and now I hope they don't win another game the rest of the year (if ever). And no, I don't like the Mets either. I'm a Cardinals fan and always will be. And, yes, I know they suck. image

Hmm, well Steve and I are the only Philly fans on the boards. My exuberance for my team is just for show. This whole board is a joke, if you think it is real
life then you are too into it! Maybe Philly fans are over-the-top, but what fan base isn't? Perhaps you just don't like people from Philly. Fine with me whatever.

So where did you go to school with Howard? I like Ryan, even if he was a Met, it would be hard to not like the guy. Its refreshing to see these good young
ball players...guys like Howard and Wright, they haven't let stardom get to their head. I think you are silly for not liking Howard now just because I am a loud
mouth, like who you like, there is so much wrong with baseball today, its nice to see a few things that are right! Good luck the rest of the way....you know whe
Ludwick is goin to be back?

Stalin has a point on this one - if ya stop liking a particular player just because of the fans of the player, that's rather silly. For example, I can't stand the Dallas Cowboys or most of their fans, but I like a player such as Emmitt and Troy, especially now that they're retired. image ...I only didn't ever like them the 60 minutes they were playing my Eagles.
