2009 Mint Proof Set goes on sale June 1

According to the Mint's Product Availability schedule. Just in time for Christmas, judging by their delay in shipping orders out! This looks like our first opportunity to get the bronze cents.

Shipping Delays: Due to current fulfillment issues we are experiencing shipping delays on all orders. It is taking 4 to 5 weeks to process and ship orders to customers.

That's the only funny thing about the new contractor for the mint....it really screws those pre-sellers up.....I am one of the ones to think things should be sold when in hand.

What's kinda funny is that I just ordered a new camera lens. I was shocked when I got a notice it shipped the day after I ordered, and doubly-shocked when it arrived 4 days later. Then I realized, "Oh, wait -- that's normal. I've gotten used to the Mint now where "Available" means "We've opened up ordering," "In stock and reserved" means "we've set aside stuff for you in our ordering software," and it could still take several months to get to you. Sigh.

Over the past few months I've been buying furniture for my new house. One seller sent me an email including a tracking number saying that my piece had shipped -- a full 3 days after I received it!

That is correct. The Lincoln Chronicles set and the Silver Proof set will have them also.

FWIW, I placed an order via subscription last week and received an email of the pending processing of the subscription in about 4 weeks (June 1).

Has anyone had any experience with subscriptions since PBGS took over shipping duties.

Usually I receive them very fast.

I just received an e-mail that my 2 subscription '09 proof sets should ship out in 4-5 weeks, too! I'll report when they arrive, so maybe we can get a general sense of their "backlog" on those......

are the bronze strikings still to be like 50k only????????

or are we to see these struck in bronze offered in the mills via this set and that set?
