Buying from this board

Dear PSA Members-

I am new to this board and was wondering what the policy was about buying from members that post here, etc. Is there any protection if item is sent? How do you work out a payment plan? Do you just set something up for buy-it-now on ebay? Thanks, Pat

    Welcome to the boards! Many members list a price and many don't. I recommend you pm the member and you can post a reply as well for them to contact you. Many times the sellers offer better than ebay deals with shipping included. Either way, you can always counteroffer and see if they accept it. Keep in mind to be reasonable in a counteroffer. In most cases they will give you payment info to pay via paypal or an address to send the money. Most of the sellers here go far beyond to make the transactions good. You can always do searchs using the user names to see if there are any previous threads about them.

    Most of us just wing it. Usually if a guy has been around awhile he is still here because he can be trusted. We tend to chase off the less than reputable guys pretty quickly here.

    Alot of us have links in our "items for sale" to our ebay accounts, where the feedback can be looked at too. The reason most list their items here is that it is free, no ebay fees etc., cheaper for the buyer, and the seller can help out a board member by selling something they need, usually cheaper than ebay. Kind of like keeping it in the family.

    Think of it as a big club here, we all have cards in common. Feel free to ask for references too on the "Sports Cards and Mem. Forum". Most guys will let you know right away if there have been issues with members in the past. Good luck, but you shouldn't need it. STEVE.

    I have been doing a little selling on this board for a couple of months. Eveyone has been great to work with. On a side note if you ever need a raw card(s) to finsh a set many times someone will just send you the cards you need. Im sure you will enjoy your forum exepience.

    had / having a problem with one in your sig line...

    luckily it was only a small amount...

    but all other transactions have gone smoothly ...
