Has anyone bought any cards from this ebay seller? What did you think about the cards you got?

I've purchased from them- both cheaper regular population Griffey items, and some POP 1 stuff that was a bit more expensive. I got everything pretty quick- but they're down in the Portland area I believe, and I'm in Tacoma.

Everything was as described, and shipped in a sub box with packing peanuts...

Can't Top having beers with him. Haven't purchased from him, but he did purchase a Card from me a couple of years ago, everything was fine with the transaction.

Also shared messages with him a few weeks ago about a card he had for sale.

Lots of positive responces.

I picked up a pair of cheap PSA 10s recently, both about $10 each. I got the cards and they looked fine. Both cards were from boxed sets. Anyways, I checked the cards out under a loupe, because I'm a nut, and noticed that the cards each had an edge that showed a cut or an edge that was didn't match the edges or cuts that I've observed with the sets they came from.

The worst came to mind when I saw this.

I just wanted to see if anyone else has found themselves wondering the same.

I share the same experiences with the other members from this Board -- I have purchased 10-20 PSA 10 cards from Rose-City-Sports and I have very happy with each transaction.

I think its crap to throw out an accusation like that after so many people have positively posted attesting to Rose city's reputation. Accusing a dealer of trimming a card thats in a PSA slab is a big deal man and I suggest you tread lightly here or edit your post!

You only get one shot at a reputation, and the corn is never declared innocent in the court of chickens.

I don't know that it's so much an accusation as it is an observation about the cards he received. A loupe was used, and some defects were apparent to the OP. Having said that, I've also had several positive purchases from RCS; I'll continue to do business with them.

I bought two cards from him at $4.95 and got a message that he would not be shipping them to me. They showed up a week later in another sellers store for $29.99 and $12.99. I complained and they did show up a week later. Never received a response. It is a shame because he does have some great looking oddball cards for my player sets.

Or you complained and they showed up in another sellers store, a week later?

I have never bought from them so I can't say if they are good or bad.

However, by the replies here I'd have no problem if they had something I wanted.

RS is solid, I've bought from them also and all positive. As for the possible trimming, I think that should rest squarely on the shoulders of PSA. If someone DID trim a card and PSA missed it, then it's PSA cred. that should be hit not the seller of the card after it's been slabbed. In my opinion, PSA needs to tighten up their grading on the modern cards anyway. It's seems like anything from 89 on they seem to get a little careless with. I've seen some stuff slabbed that makes me wonder who the heck graded it, a blind monkey!
