454 grams to an AV pound


31.103 x 500 = 15,552 grams

15,552 grams / 454 = 34.26 AV pounds

This is how some sellers cheat people on Ebay. The sell 10 or 20 pounds of bulk silver hoping some unfortunate person makes the mistake of calculating it at 16 ounces per pound.
