He is a moving target. He bought the item before using another ID (which had a feedback of 1). This ID has no feedback. Based on early results, I would guess that he will continue to open accounts until he ran out of .gmail, yahoo, etc. accounts...which could be never!!

  • Why all the bother over a $32 card?

Just take his friends payment, and ship it to his friend's address. Done.
  • He had time to type all those messages but not click on the little Paypal icon and send payment? I hate when people give a lame excuse why they haven't sent Paypal payment yet. How long does it take? Usually takes me less than a minute.

,,and then he claims that he never got the card. Paypal sides with him, you are out $32 and the card.
    Nope. No thanks.

Tell him to have his buddy PP him the money, then he can send it to you from his account.

Can you set your BIN with the "paypal required" option? That forces the buyer to actually send payment in order to end the listing, doesn't it?

I wouldn't even do that - he could send paypal then reverse the payment and cause more problems, even w/ deliv. conf. Either way you'll have a fight on your hands with this guy.

The only way to solve it to continue to block him. But you need to file NPB against his other IDs. Eventually, he will be prohibited from opening other accounts, as enough of his account information will throw up red flags on new accounts. It will catch up to him.

    Hi Mike,

This guy (alex13rodriguez13ab) has spent over $650 since March 18th and hasn't received a feedback from anyone yet!
His Spending Spree since March 18th!

Have you, by chance, contacted any of the other sellers, from which he won auctions after yours, to ask if this guy has paid yet?

My gut feeling is that this guy's a real douche!

I hope everything works out for you, but I sadly think history is repeating itself in this case image

    Good luck!

You cannot accept paypal from his friend, it will leave you with no recourse.

He is a very disturbed person and has been following/stalking you. He looks at your auctions for weeks on end. I am afraid that even if you take down this card, he will bother you on your other auctions.

He spends so much energy bugging you, that he could have paypaled the amount by now. He is not interested in paying. He kind of admitted that he will continue to bother you.

I would not believe anything he says and I think you know that by now. File NPB and then leave the card off ebay for a long time. I do not know your financial situation, but is it vital to sell this card?

    A-Rod Auction - 2004 Finest Gold Refractor

Here is a link to the auction. I didn't check his bidding history. This guy is a nut job, though. I may just contact eBay and have them close the claim then let them handle it when he gives me negative feedback. The card doesn't have to be sold. Yes, I am unemployed, but resources are ok right now. The eBay store thing is just something to have a little eBay money to spend for myself.

halosfan, if you are interested in the card, PM me. Once all of this is resolved (and I feel confident that the card will not be shipped to Aaron), then I will let you know and we can work something out.

Some of these responses are funny! THANKS GUYS!

You cannot do good business with a bad man.

Trying to rehab EBAY deals that go bad out of the gate
    is a ridiculous errand.

Your buyer is in violation of EBAY-TOS by using an alt
to circumvent a seller's BBL. He can be NARUd for it.

He should have been immediately reported as an unwelcome
bidder. THAT would have ended the drama.

    ........

If you want to get paid promptly on store items, use the
Immediate Payment Required feature. Otherwise, buyers
have 7-days to pay before an NPB can be filed.

Pushing folks to pay fast is silly, unless you use the IPR feature.

    ...............

Don't play the "somebody else's PayPal account" game
with the SCUM - disguised as buyers - that has taken over
    EBAY.

    ......

Report the SCUM as an unwelcome bidder.

Tell EBAY the SCUM has threatened to continue "buying"
    from you.

    He will be gone fast.

(If you can get him NARUd quick, your NPB will be granted
    immediately upon filing.)

    ....................

And, STOP communicating with the SCUM.

Just called eBay to try and get this resolved...."you just need to get ahold of your buyer and get this resolved" is the consistent message from their call center in India!

That was as much of a waste of time as dealing with this BOZO!!
  • storm888storm888 Posts: 11,701 ✭✭✭
Hit the 'report problem with this transaction" link.

Report the SCUM as an "unwelcome bidder."

Tell them he used an alt to bypass your BBL.

That will be the end of it.

  • You may be better off just sending him the card for free, wish him the best with his life, and move on.

If it cost $32 to get rid of a major headache, it may be worth it. Just think of it as buying six bottles of advil or something.

Send him a note that he can send payment as soon as he can(with the card), so maybe he thinks if he goes away that you will forget about it...which is what you want at this point.

When heck freezes over, I would do that.

It looks like a delightful taste-treat and comes ready

  • LOL

If it cost me $32 to get a pain in the rear out of my life, why not try it.

If it backfires, and he comes back for more, you are still where you are at now, but just out $32(you will live).

Send him the card, tell him to send payment when the card arrives(and when his life settles down). He probably won't send the payment, and then he will think he got one over on you and disappear.

It sounds like he wants just this one card.

He is gone from your life for $32. That is a bargain.

Or, go to the guy's house with Storm's treat.

I have no problem sending free cards to good people but I would NEVER give anything to a flake like that, not even to just go away cuz he never will lol
  • The buyer seems quite odd of course.

You're not really sending it for free. You are sending it to him first, with the expectation that he will pay after he gets it. Obviously the dude isn't going to pay. But he may stop bothering the guys auctions and be out of his hair.

I don't think he is going to expect a bunch of free cards then. He may try.

It is worth a $32 gamble in my opinion.
