I had to ship gumbyan's 1978 donruss sgt. pepper's wax box that he won on a "contest thread", so I figured I would send him the box + the contributions collected so far on this thread.
I "rounded-up" to one hundred fifty bucks.
I will stuff $150 into the package for you! (When those other few contributions do come in, I'll mail those to Craig too!).
Craig, if you read this, "all us participants" appreciate your efforts, and hope you will enjoy spending the little we "kicked-in" here!
This is a bit embarassing for me, since I'm not one to usually know what to say when people show such kindness. I guess all I can say is a very big THANK YOU! to everyone who has contributed. I can assure you that this money, as well as the other gifts I have already received is very, very much appreciated. I can't wait to tell you all how I spend it.
I really enjoyed pulling this group submission together! Some who know me may disagree because the timing was a bit stressful. Along with doing this, I was also wrapping up a couple projects at work before a 2 week vacation. I knew it would be stressful, but it also made the last few weeks before my much anticipated (and long awaited) vacation go by VERY quickly. Not only that, but I was able to see and hold cards that I never knew existed. I was able to, in a short period of time, hold in my hands cards from the early 1900s all through today...from all sports and many non-sports issues. I'm a card geek and I soaked it all up.
If Joe allows another group submission, I would be more than happy to run another one once this one is all wrapped up. Not because of all of your generosity, but because I really do enjoy it.
Special thanks to Rob for organizing this collection and also for the Sgt. Peppers box. As brianwintersfan can attest, I love the Beatles, so I'm very excited to get this!
$ 192 has been contributed so far because of this thread! Wow!
If you participated in gumbyfan's group submission, and would like to kick-in "a little something" to Craig (gumbyfan), as gratitude for all his outstanding efforts with this group sub. I'll still be accepting pledges for a while!
And all the work Craig has yet to come! (shipping out all our 1,500 cards!)...
Pleeeeeeeze post here, or PM me your desire to contribute something to Craig!
TIA
rd
P.S. It was my desire to raise $200 from this thread. And we came damn close so far ($192)! And who know's? Another participant or two might kick-in and "step up to the plate"! We may still hit that $200+ watermark?
$ 150 was sent to gumbyfan (Craig) today! Along with a 1978 Donruss Sgt. Pepper's wax box, what a trip!
The balance of the pledges/donations will be sent next week! We've done good here so far! Stay tuned for more!
rd
P.S. And I do not want to forget all the group sub participants that sent something to Craig, on their own! Some are mentioned in the initial post herein, and I'm sure there are more! Well thanks to all of you!!!

I have been lacking in my public thank you's for the gifts I have already received. I have thanked everyone privately, but do plan to start a new thread once this is over. I didn't want people to think I was asking for more gifts, because it's all so unnecessary! It is, however, very much appreciated.

PLEASE NOTE THAT THE WORDS"I AM TAKING THIS MAN OUT TO DINNER" WERE ADDED BY ME AND WERE NOT IN CRAIG'S REPLY!
STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

Wow! Nightcrawler increased his $25 pledge into a $40 contribution today!
Trent didn't want to make a big deal about it! In fact he wanted me to list the additional $15 donation under the name of "Blockhead B"
I couldn't do that, because nice guys on these threads need to be outed!
Trent, I marked you paid!
Thanks sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much!

P.S. Obviously, Trent thinks very highly of Craig! You know in "man-love", Jim Gantner type of way!

Thanks again, everyone.
Darin,
You pledged 100 Mexican Pesos, which converted to $7.37, and that was really
Then you rounded-up your pledge to an even ten bucks, and was also pretty darn
But now Darin, you bumped your pledge up to a $20 contribution today and that was really
Thanks soooooooooooooooooooooooooo much Darin, for your kindness, your generosity has been noted here!
