Collection thread for gumbyfan (Craig) for all his cool "group submission" efforts! $190

To all who have pledged and sent-in a donation via this thread!
$ 190 ($150 + $40) HAS BEEN SENT TO CRAIG ON BEHALF OF ALL YOU NICE PEOPLE! GREAT JOB EVERYONE!

yes! poppage has started, so pleeeeeeze begin to send me your Pledges. $190.00 was raised so far, because of your pledges here, thanks! (PLEEEEZE NOTE: Any other gumbyfan group submission participant that would like to pledge 'a little something' to gumbyfan for his great job with this sub, feel free to post your pledge on this thread, and then you can then send it to an addy below, thanks!)
1. you can Paypal me: addy: rbdjr@ymail.com (make sure to include your CU id, so I can give you credit for your pledge/payment). Also pleeeeeze LMK that you paid, so I can mark it paid below on the list, thanks!
2. or you can send me your pledge: addy: The Renaissance Trust, P.O. Box 6059 Delray Beach, FL 33482-6059 (make sure to include your CU id, so I can give you credit for your pledge/payment). Also pleeeeeze LMK that you paid, so I can mark it paid below on the list, thanks!
I will try to PM all who have pledged a contribution periodically to remind you to pay! Thanks!
*** update: again, participants have kicked-in $190.00 here so far! And there is still plenty of time for other 'gumby group rip' participants to contribute 'a little something' too!
gameusedhoop (Steve) gave me a wonderful idea to reward an organizer of a "group submission", especially a large group sub, like gumbyfan's, with a surcharge of some sorts, to compensate him for all his efforts, labor and time it takes to "pull-off" a successful group sub. I decided to start this thread.
So here we go:
Craig (gumbyfan) has demonstrated so far, by his receiving, bookkeeping, listing, packing, shipping, submitting, continuous communication with participants, and then to come, receiving 1500 items back from PSA, breaking up items to match each participants' items, packing, labeling, transport to the post office, and more! Yikes!
What we can all do is say thanks gumby!
But that's not all we can do! So here's what I propose:
Each 'group sub' participant kicks-in, let's say a whopping 20 cents per item! Showing Craig all our appreciation and gratitude for his performance and his efforts related to his group rip!
For example, ...my sub part was 66 items, so I'd be more than happy to start-off by kicking-in $13.20 (66 subs x $0.20 = $13.20).
Heck, I rounded-up to $ 15.00

This is strictly voluntary, and in no way will I (nor should anybody else for that matter!) single out any group participant for not kicking-in a little for gumbyfan's wonderful effort here!
And who knows? Maybe, we can get Craig to "quarterback" another group rip for our community?
So, I'm making a list for any participant who wants to contribute something (for Craig). I know it's not much, but maybe if each participant contributes a little something? It will be a nice way for all of us to show gumbyfan, in some small way, just how much we all do appreciate his wonderful "group submission" efforts:

Anyway, I looked around for some cards I thought craig would like but couldn't find any.
Rob and I sent him $10 with our cards and told him to get a couple graded on us.
I agree it is taking A LOT of effort to put this together, so we thanked him previously.

Well I tried to make it easier on myself by throwing in some worthless Jim Gantner cards, but I couldn't find any!
While I already planned on hooking Craig up when this is all said and done,
it'll have to wait. Right now, I have $3.87 in my paypal acct which is pathetic.
I had to sell a bunch of psa 10 rookies to generate funds for my 75 card sub.
You can mark me down as "pending".
I really appreciate what Craig has done and his efforts will get rewarded.

Ya, Craigs so great, he was going to help an old lady across the street once, and she didn't want to go. So he beat her up and drug her across... what a great guy.
Day one = We raised $105.

It will fit just fine in my registry set in a PSA 9 holder.
Craig is doing a favor for me while he is in Vegas, for that and the group sub, when I pay him for the other, I will also take care of him for the group sub.

We've raised so far $115 for gumbyfan on this thread! Wow! Thanks to all you participants!
The hardest work for Craig, I think is "yet to come". If you are a group submission participant, and you have not considered "contributing a little something" for gumbyfan (Craig), pleeeeeeze consider this:
His ongoing efforts:
1. Time setting-up this group sub.
2. Set-up of 'data sheets' (inventory received record keeping)
3. bookkeeping of funds received.
4. receiving, opening, sorting, logging-in all those individual participants' packages
5. extra trip(s) to the USPS
6. downloading all 1500 cards into his data entry system.
7. getting cards ready for PSA, via labeling & repackaging 1500 cards, for shipping.
8. after 'boxing-up' 1500 cards, taping-up and labeling boxes, for registered mail.
9. extra trip(s) to the USPS.
10. Dealing with PSA (first with Joe, again dealing with Joe & customer service, about cards being on hold...).
11. Getting CU customer service to recalculate "card values" to an even $25,000.00.
12. Dealing with having PSA break-up this sub into 3 smaller subs.
13. Craig's efforts dealing with Joe & PSA helped get our group submission out of an "on hold status" in just a few days.
So far Craig's efforts can be compared to the "first half" of a football game. After PSA poppage we can expect Craig, to repeat many of the steps above, now in reverse,
14. Poppage results display (data entry, etc, possible listing of poppage on thread, etc.)
15. Preparation for receiving (3) or more registered mail packages from PSA.
16. extra trip(s) to the USPS. (LOL!)
17. Opening these (3) or more boxes of 1500 cards, and inspecting each card for possible shipping damage.
18. Sorting cards of each participant.
19. Packing each individual participants' items (which includes all kinds of different sized boxes, considering the variety of "card quantities" of the participants.).
20. Affixing labels, sealing, postage, weighing, lifting, transporting, waiting in line(s) at the USPS, and more.
I'm sure I forgot some of Craig's wonderful efforts, plus his time consuming efforts "yet to come"?
My point here is if have not considered contributing "a little something" to Craig for his 'herculean' efforts here.
The above list should make you consider giving something?
So, I proposed we all kick-in, let's say, around 20 cents per card, which is not much to ask from each of us participants! So whatever you can afford, will mean little to you, but when combined with all other here, will be a really nice gesture from us to gumbyfan! Don't you think?
Some of you participants have contacted me, letting me know that you already gave something (or are planning on sending Craig something), some cards, a few sent a little cash. And that's really super cool! Thanks!
But in the heat of preparing our items and sending our cards to Craig, some many not have considered "a little something extra" for gumbyfan (including me!).
So, I'm not "singling-out" any individual participant (except myself! LOL!).
But I am asking each participant who has not considered giving something, to kick-in a few bucks here.
I'd love to see Craig, buy some Yount or Molitor cards (or even a Gantner card? LOL!), just because he has "a little extra scratch" from all us participants.
So, if you haven't already done so, PM, email me (rbdjr@ymail.com) or post here your willingness to contribute something.
TIA
