That is a thing of beauty! What I wouldn't give to hang that on my wall. I hope your parting with it because you want to, not because you have to.

Good luck with the sale, I hope you get a good price for it.

I just showed my wife the pics and asked her if I could buy it. She said I could as long as I am willing to sleep with it in the truck. Hmmmm....tempting...image

These are the approximate prices I came up with just from past 30 day ebay sales:

    1. 1985 Nike Michael Jordan PSA 10 - 05332849 - $7000
    2. 1986 Fleer #57 Michael Jordan PSA 10 - 07059608 - $1850
    3. 1986 Fleer Sticker #8 Michael Jordan PSA 10 - 04065316 - $700
    4. 1989 Hoops #200 Michael Jordan PSA 10 - 05357529 - $15
    5. 1989 Hoops All-Star #21 Michael Jordan PSA 10 - 01243784 - $10
    6. 1990 Skybox #41 Michael Jordan PSA 10 - 04173793 - $10
    7. Jordan 8x10 AUTO - $100

    Total: $9685

I would say the entire piece together is worth well over that. I remember when this person posted pics of this on these boards a long time ago. I also hope he's not being forced to sell this. Good luck!

    Hey Guys,
Thanks for all the comments. No, I am not being forced to sell. I just have some other things I want to do right now. I don't have the interest in cards that I once did, which is why I sold my 2001 Albert Pujols Bowman Chrome PSA 10. If I don't get a reasonable price, I will hang on to it until I do.

VCP Average prices when I looked them up (no record #6 or #7, so left the same as jeffcbay):

    1. 1985 Nike Michael Jordan PSA 10 - $724.50
    2. 1986 Fleer #57 Michael Jordan PSA 10 - $6,483.64
    3. 1986 Fleer Sticker #8 Michael Jordan PSA 10 - $2,337.94
    4. 1989 Hoops #200 Michael Jordan PSA 10 - $17.29
    5. 1989 Hoops All-Star #21 Michael Jordan PSA 10 - $12.14
    6. 1990 Skybox #41 Michael Jordan PSA 10 - $10
    7. Jordan 8x10 AUTO - $100

    Total: $9,685

I get the same total, but the prices are different for some of the cards (the two 1986-87 Fleer cards mostly).

lol, yeah I butchered the order of my cards and prices a bit. I knew I was close with the final total, but I marked them wrong transferring it from the sheet of paper to the forum. Sorry 'bout that. I'm glad I was close to VCP though! image

This piece is well worth the BIN, for any rich Jordan collector. It could be in the Hall of Fame as far as I'm concerned. Maybe upgrade the Hoops and Skybox cards to higher dollar cards (as if it's not already a freaking awesome piece).

I thought about it at one time as I had the 87 Fleer and the 88 Fleer All-Star but I decided to sell them individually.

I am still confused....I thought this item sold via auction format for $8,000???? I noticed it was a private listing....was a shill bidder the winner? I say that because it sold thru auction for $8,000, then was listed a couple days later with BUY IT NOW for $8,250????

I have already answered your ebay question. I guess some people are always looking to start trouble. Have a nice day.

I asked him a question about the auction ending early....here was his response....

Q: Yes, but buyer had a po box so we agreed to cancel the transaction.

That is a CROCK!! I have a PO Box and get high dollar cards ALL THE TIME! You can still get signature confirmation and track packages to PO Boxes. The auction was a PRIVATE LISTING. The whole thing reeks of SHILL BIDDING. While it was a nice piece, the whole way that was handled......let's just say, I am going to steer clear of that seller......

PS - I was not looking to start trouble...I just noticed the item had already sold, then I saw where it sold again...had a simple question, and stumbled upon a crooked deal....

Has UPS started delivering to a PO box? You are entitled to your opinion.

No, but the USPS can ship to a PO Box......UPS can delivery to a home address to.....are you telling me your buyer spent $8,000 on a shadowbox and doesnt have a home address?? He lives out of his car?

You started the item at a 99 cents "no reserve - cough, cough" private listing auction to see what the market would bear, then tacked $250 on top of that. Nothing wrong with that, just kind of a seedy way to do things.....

Hey....Im in agreement with you there...Im all for him making the most on his item...it was beautiful...I just think he went about it a crappy way to try to get top dollar (private auctions, shill bidding, etc)
