Good, bad, ugly?

I have had a few good purchasing transactions with them.

  • Several transactions totaling over $1,000 with them, all went seamlessly.

I thought it would be best to pull this thread instead of sarting a new one...

Late last night, me and my better half decided to give Gainesville Coins some business, and put in an order for some silver bullion, "as a test run".

Order made via internet site, by CC.

Will let you know how it turns out. I'll just let the process take its course... and will judge them by the outcome. This is the first time I've bought bullion via internet (less usmint). My local shop is killing me with sales tax... I needed another stable source. I'm also tired of dealing with the craigslist route (too much time looking, and not enough purchases).

The objective is to move $$$ out of the gld/slv (will keep CEF for now) and into physical bullion (rounds). I have enough bars for now.

Thanks for relaying your experiences, meluaufeet. I look forward to the results.

In regards to my dealings with them that prompted this thread: They were great. The website clearly said they didn't have what I wanted in stock, but I worked with Corey (one of the principals of the firm--did you know the three guys behind it are in their 20s!!? ). He promised it would be in stock shortly and that he'd relay shipping info as soon as they were en route.

I called back a couple days later to see if there was any progress, and he said they'd shipped earlier than he expected and would arrive the next day, then he gave me the tracking info so I could check the progress. The product arrived early the next day, as promised, complete, with no issues at all.

Just a quick summary of my experience with Gainesville Coins:

I put in my internet order early Friday the 20th.

Order was delivered to USPS center the same day.

Used the 'contact us' button after logging in to my account and asked for tracking no.
    - Was notified by email within an hour with tracking no. and a contact for additional questions (even gave name to contact with telephone extension).

Order was received this morning... well packaged... bullion in great new condition... I doubt they went through the tubes.

Bottom line... doing business with Gainesville Coins, was easy, cost effective, and pain free. I will do more business with them for my bullion very soon!!! Way to go GC...
