Ebay questions

I sold three lots this weekend and ended up with two clowns. (one of three paid)
The first one was two rolls of 2005 eagles starting at 790. I listed them when silver was 14.50 and got a bid. Then I get another at closing and the lot sells at 810.00. The buyer then emails me and says he put in an error max bid and wants me to offer it to the first bidder (whos now off the hook). I did but he didn’t take. I told this guy he needs to complete the transaction and even offered him the 790 price. He doesn’t return my emails.

heres his BS

The issue is that my max bid was in the thousands. I did not get . at the write place. What i wish you would try is to offer it second chance to #2 bidder. This coins go like peanuts and not a difficult thing to sell. Normally i only bid 330 to 350 per 20. To make the story short, i am trying to work with you to resolve this issue in most efficient and beneficial manner. Please see what you can do.

My Reply
The other bidder has not responded to this second chance offer. I am giving you the same price, 20 bucks less than you bid.
Please complete this transaction ASAP to avoid negative feedback.

Thank You

2005 eagles

The other guy bought on Friday night and has not paid, contacted me or responded to my requests. My guess is they are concerned about the fall in PMs and are waiting to see if they want to complete the transaction.

With the price of PMs having fallen I wouldnt be suprised to see these guys try to bail out.

Advice??

Sellers cannot leave NEGative feedback on EBAY.

After 7-days, file an Unpaid Item Dispute on the silver eagles and get
    your FVFs back.

If you need/want payment right away, you can use the Immediate Payment
Required feature on BINs. Otherwise, you need to wait the 7-days that
    EBAY prescribes.

(I would NEVER do a "mutual agreement" to cancel with a
stranger. If they fail to respond correctly, you will lose your
    FVFs.)

That sucks that sellers cannot leave negative feedback when those bidders DESERVE IT!

    My advice:
With PMs always list with "buy it now" and use the "immediate payment required" option. Buyer does not win and lock-up the listing until it is paid for. Other advantages to BIN are free subtitle if you offer free shipping, up to 30 day listing for 35 cents and 20% discount (thru end of March) on seller fees if you are a powerseller in good standing. Final fees are higher but I like the 30 day listing and quite often revise each listing to adjust BIN price as the market and the listed competition change. Don't like the fees or the free shipping? Just build them into your price. As a buyer I have even come to prefer BIN; less hassle, no waiting for the last snipe, etc. Not all BIN's are overpriced, a lot of sellers are finding less hassle with it.

I love it. Numnutz wouldn't have been able to enter a bid less than 810, and if he normally bids 330-350 per 20...why would he even bother entering a number at all?

Ask him for a copy of the email confirming his bid. It clearly states the max bid entered, but I'm sure he probably deleted it and emptied the trash bin already.

Keep their e-mails and send them to eBay when you start your NPB dispute.
