RE-grade...what do you think??

Just got a couple back from PSA that are just blazers and I thought were sure 10's!! Let me know if you think either should be sent back for regrade!?? The '73 is the nicest I've ever had and thought it was a sure thing!

Looks like Andy should have gotten the Unibrow qualifier.

10's are tough to get, but it's your dime go ahead and crack if you think it's worthy.
  • I think the centering on the Etchebarron is out a bit to much.

Those cards look fantastic though, I wouldn`t blame you for trying.

I think most of "their grading" has been off by 1/.5 since late December....

I would not crack those, I'd email Joe and ask him to review them if you feel
    so strongly about them.

    Good for you.
  • That is one of the nicest 78 BK cards I have seen that wasn't a 10. They are tough to even get 9's on so I would probably do as suggested and send driectly to Joe.

Proof that there's no difference between many 9's and 10's. Don't crack. Send for a review if you are that confidant...but check the pop reports first.

Those are really nice. Deserve 10's IMO

The pop. report on the '73 shows ZERO 10's and the Reggie shows two 10's!

I bet if you could find scans of the other two Reggie 10's they wouldn't look as nice as your 9.

Gorgeous, the only thing I see in the 73 is the A in Etchebarren has a small print dot and the centering is a tiny bit off.

Wowza! Nice cards. The Etchebarren is stunning. I'd have to see the bottom edge on the Jackson in person before I could make a judgment on that one. Beautiful cards no matter what the labels say.

    ...."that explains the andy..."

So does that mean cuz there are no 10's, PSA would be reluctant to issue a 10???
  • storm888storm888 Posts: 11,701 ✭✭✭
    They look about right.

You could still ask JO to take a looksee, though.

The Andy centering is too distracting for a "TRUE" 10.
    Pretty colors, though.

The Reggie might be a 10, if the corners are PERFECT.
    Can't tell from the pic.

The '73 looks PSA 10 to me the Jackson as sure, but I love that swing.

Those are both sweet cards. Could be 10's on a different day.
Ask for a review if it's worth it.

    I don't see off-centering on the Etchebarren. Maybe you could say it's 51-49 or 52-48 T-B.

How's the centering on the backs?

Bottom edge on the Reggie is not as smooth as the top. Maybe just the scan?

Uber sharp cards though!! I could see them in PSA 10 cases.

I would try to resubmit for sure.
  • Keep sendin' 'em in.

Well, I have finally decided to send them in for re-grade. Do I send them in still in their PSA cases, or crack them out.

i think the Andy is in the correct holder, but that Reggie would be worth a few bucks to try and substantially increase it's value by re-appearing in a 10 holder.

Good luck whatever you decide! image
