Post some pics of a Mint Error... "GOT ERROR"???

BroadstruckBroadstruck Posts: 30,497 ✭✭✭✭✭
Just took some new shots of a coin I've never posted a Buffalo Nickel Mint Error Double Clipped.

Not common as I've only seen one other example a 1921 that was also double clipped.

Maybe seanq can comment as I only own a couple clips... not an mint error area I normally collect.

This one is 6% Dbl Clipped Planchet PCGS MS64.

Enjoy!

Single clips aren't that hard to find, the most common date for a single would be 1935. Double clips are much scarcer, I can only think of maybe one or two others beside yours. Thinking about it, I've seen more double-clipped Liberty Nickels than Buffalo. My type set includes a 1913-D type I with a small rim clip and a straight-clipped 1928-S.

And a dime with a single clip, not as kool as a buff with clips but I like it anyway.
