Well we crawled back out from under the rock we placed on ourselves. We really need one or two of these younger guys to establish themselves. Young, Morgan, Andy Laroche or Brandon Moss one will have to become the next McLouth before we can think about .500. The pitching has been OK but I am still not convinced yet but Duke, Maholm and Ohlendorf have been pretty consistent.
Currently completing the following registry sets: Cardinal HOF's, 1961 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, 1972 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, 1980 Pittsburgh Pirates Team, Bill Mazeroski Master & Basic Sets, Roberto Clemente Master & Basic Sets, Willie Stargell Master & Basic Sets and Terry Bradshaw Basic Set
I almost feel like we stole McClouth. I hope Morton and Gorky's work out well and can develope into fine players for you. I know nothing much about Locke so i wont comment on him.
I think the Bucs need to take it one step at a time and go for a winning season first. They haven't done that since their three-peat division champ days of 1990-92.
Stranger things have happened, just ask the Devil Rays as well as our (well, not mine I went to Daviess County but still) local Owensboro High School baseball team who entered the postseason with a less than .500 record and made it to State Runner-Up.
The difference is that the Rays were making good use of their high draft picks, signing their stars early (like they did with Longoria) and they were actually trying to win games.
