I don;t care for the design since it makes it difficult to detect damage.

Of course that could also be a good thing.

I believe it to be a Vatican issued Medal.
Issued in Rome in 1975.
It appears to be 3/4 ounce Silver.

It has a certain artistic flare to it, an architectual mess to be sure, but an interesting treatment of line and form. Looks like an El Greco. Overall I give it a "slightly like."
