Why don't you just email the buyer of that coin back in Jan and see why he returned.

    Just email gregory7426 !

From the feedback, it appears that the coin was returned for whatever reason as it simply states: "Good Communications!!, Thank you"

What would there be to communicate about except the possibility of a return?

If you're sure enough to bid, you should be sure to pay.

  • looks like a good one to pay with paypal.............

  • You got a better deal than the other guy.

You bid, you pay, if something is wrong with the deal you should be covered by the world famous paypal protection. If you are smart you will pay through paypal with a credit card, then you have real protection.

I don't see anything fake looking about the slab, what makes anyone think so?

Get a clarification from the seller ... did the previous buyer return the coin and why.

WOW !!! Same coin... Same slab... Intresting???
  • I agree that you should get more info before deciding if you had time.
That's the problem. There's no return privilege.
I never bought (past tense intentional) anything on ebay with no returns.

  • You got a bargain basement deal on that coin.

Chances are it is an overgraded 66 and that is why the previous buyer returned it.

Why did you bid with such poor pics? Looking to flip?

I think that ethically you are obligated to pay.

You know I love ya man, but I don't know about the "....only after the seller explains" part.
If I were the seller, I would probably tell ya, but I might also, depending on the tone and the words I received, tell you "none of your business...it was the other person's choice as well as my choice".

I did note that both of the auctions stated "no returns allowed", so it was either (a) a shill (b) someone not paying (c) someone getting a "forcing" a return w/ paypal
Could be a (d) but I don't know what it would be.....

I've been told I tolerate fools poorly...that may explain things if I have a problem with you. Current ebay items - Nothing at the moment

  • I can see a few possible scenarios:

1 - The high bidder on the january coin was just a shill bidder, bidding up the coin for the seller. Unfortunately he was to optimistic, and the seller had to list it again and accept a lower price. Did the same bidder (winner from january) also bid in the auction you won? Has he won several coins from this seller?

2 - The first winner didn't go through with the transaction.

3 - The first winner returned the coin because of flaws hidden by the crappy picture.

4 - This is a fake slab, and the seller has several copies. With a crappy picture to not reveal that the slab is fake.

5 - The seller has several similiar items, and thus uses the same (crappy) picture for all of them.

6 - The seller doesn't actually have the coin anymore, but has forgot to remove it from his listing tool.
