Book for proof Seated Half Dimes?

How useful will Valentine's book be for someone who is only interested in proofs? If it will be useful, is there a particular edition of the book which is preferable? Any other books you can recommend?

The Valentine book will not be useful to you if all you collect are proof Half Dimes.
Better you get Walter Breens Encyclopedia of United States and Colonial Proof Coins. This will have some information on the Half Dime Proofs.

I have the Breen book. It mentions die varieties for 1858 and 1859, which prompted my question in the first place.

Breen's Proof Encyclopedia. Full of errors, but some information is better than none.

The Valentine book would be good only for background information. I'd buy Breen's Proof coin encyclopedia. That source will give you more information in one place than any other book.
