eBay Deal Thread - Share the Deals That You Get!

With the economy in a slight bit if decline, deals are being found on eBay, especially with auctions. I would like to see what people are coming up with. I will start with one that I received in the mail today. Wasn't sure if it "was what I thought it was", but it is....

1998 CE Odyssey Randy Moss HoloGold (limited to production of 30)....Paid $7.05 for it.

'87-'88 McDag/Opelika Police Auburn issue...I've paid between $50-60 for the Thomas alone...then I found a complete MINT set for $5.00 BIN on eBay. Wasn't sure if the Thomas was in there, but it was a complete set when I finally got it.



Average sell on a set is around $150.00.

I also picked up a '94 Finest refractor Thomas for .99...it was listed as a regular Finest, but I saw a small rainbow-like reflection on the card.

Those are in the last couple of months, but I got a lot of deals in 2008.

The economy is a funny thing.

In November, I won a pop 1 1992 Leaf Gold Jeff Kent rookie in PSA 10 for $10.49.
In December, I sold it at auction for $122.50.

I cant say I have gotten any steals. Ive been trying to find and buy those 80s star baseball sets that have autographs. Been trying to pick up some vintage that I want to get signed but I havent found any steals there either.

I've been getting beautiful Stargell PSA 8's for around $10 under SMR.
Bought a 1993 leaf and a 1993 ultra George Brett, both PSA 10's for 4.99 each, 6.74 inc. Shipping. Would cost me a lot more than that to buy them raw and try to get 10's myself.

I was able to pick up a PSA 7 '62Topps Ernie Banks for the price of a PSA6. It looks like someone was breaking up an Ernie Banks Registry set for very reasonable prices.
