    Ebay policy

    Raw and Uncertified Coins
A raw or uncertified coin is defined as any coin not graded by one of the authorized grading companies. Sellers are permitted to list these items on eBay under the following conditions:

A numeric grade is not included in the title of the listing, such as MS-65, VF-25, etc. A numeric grade may only be included in the description of the listing.

The grading company or price guide is not referenced in the title or description.

A dollar value (even if personal opinion) is not included in the title or description.

Let me play devils advocate. The grading company is not listed in the title or description. There is not a grade listed in the title. Just "70" Notice in ebay's rules, they state "MS-65, which is a grade. 70 is just a number.

Maybe it could be described as key-number spamming. image

Unfortunately he is not violating eBay policy ... "A numeric grade is not included in the title of the listing" ..........."A numeric grade may only be included in the description of the listing."

Right. It's in one of the slabs you can buy by the hundreds and do it yourself.

He/she has done a lot of thinking about how to market an ordinary coin.
How many MS70 coins have you ever seen?

Does Ebay pay it's members for reporting trivial violations to them?

He seems to have mostly satisfied customers (who presumably knew what to expect and got what they expected???).

But I agree that it's at least pushing eBay's limits on what's allowed if not implicitly crossing over the ethics line as well.

It's not a rule violation to put "(70)" in the title.
