silver quarter, franklin half

well only part of a franklin. hahahaha. so does it count as a half in the most silver award posting?

    Wow! I've found half a Walking Liberty once and both halves of a mercury dime before. Neat find.

    Looks like it lost the fight with a mower. Hey Brian, I'm doing the polls and such - I'll call it a silver coin find even if it is only part of it. Don't think you want to enter it as "Best U.S. Coin" though image

    i'll enter it as best coin, only if i find the rest. i've dug cut silver quarters and dimes but never a half before today. i wanted to find the rest, but the area is literally covered with caps and tabs. i have to use a small coil and work the area slow.

    I'd call it a silver quarter and a Franklin quarter. image jk - nice finds.

    That half really took a beating!!!

    If you can find the other pieces to that coin, you have done a great job. I have a feeling it's probably in about 3 or maybe even 4 other pieces.
