I had a ebay/paypal problem

UtahCoinUtahCoin Posts: 5,366 ✭✭✭✭✭
Late last month I bought a $5 widget for my son and paid right away. One week, no widget, email sent, no response. Two weeks, no widget, no email response. Three weeks email sent and seller says he'll mail it right away (he's like a 100 miles away). 4 weeks, no widget, no response to emails. Filed a dispute on Monday with PP, upgraded it this morning, paypal refunded my money this afternoon, no questions asked.

I used to be somebody, now I'm just a coin collector.

That's how it normally gets handled 99.9% of the time. You are to patient, I would have started the proceedings long before you did.

From a buyer's perspective, it is nice. I just had a seller not send me an item, no contact after 2 weeks, while I was waiting. He cancelled the shipment (claims a bad wholesaler) but didn't notify me. I saw he was NARU'd, emailed him, and he refunded me immediately. I think a lot of sellers know that either way, via paypal claim or straight refund, you will get your money back from them, so they are more likely to act (refund) for self-preservation on the bay than if there was no paypal buyer protection.

As a seller, a different story completely.
Listen. Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government. Supreme executive power derives from a mandate from the masses, not from some farcical aquatic ceremony.
