Two Kennedy's for the Price of One?

Well..............not really two Kennedy's but close enough for only $4.00



Now I need to figure out which one it is?

The CPG has two listed and I know there are many, many more, so how do you tell them apart?

Not to burst your bubble about the doubling, but I seem to be seeing tripling, especially between the upper lips and lower nose.

What do you think?

Its a 1966 SMS coin. Maybe a 63 given the slide marks on the cheek.

Don Heath gave me this one in 2003. It resides in my fully completed Kennedy Proof and Mint set. I also have one in a PCGS MS66CAM holder.

Anybody have specifics on how you tell one from the other??

I for one would suggest obtaining a copy of "The Kennedy Half Dollar Book" by Dr. James Wiles.
In it he has very good diagnostics on the 28 or so 1966 DDO coins.
This book has been a real help to me. Well worth buying!
