I think a (big) part of the money was for the fun of looking through all of it.
Contents:
- One frame labeled United States coins of the 20th century with note on back "Merry Christmas 1973, mother" At least the cleaning doesn't remove the silver from the coins, just most of their value. I was hoping the 1964 dated coins would be better since they appeared to be in uncirculated...except for the duck tape holding the coins in from the back. It did cause a neat gunmetal toning on several coins.
--Dollar coins 1921 Morgan, 1922 Peace, and a 1972-D Ike that has a wonderful obverse with the gunmetal toning and a back covered in duct tape residue
--half dollar coins 1902, 1943, 1963, 1964 and 1967
-- Quarter dollar coins 1899, 1925, 1964-D and what might be a high grade 1972-D if the residue can be removed
-- dimes 1916, 1945, 1964, and 1971
-- nickels 1907, 1930, 1945-P and 1970-S
--cents 1907, 1943, 1945 and 1964
also has the 10 cent man on the moon stamp
