140 Year Old Red Stockings Card Auctioned by Memory Lane

The Bernice Gallego's Red Stockings card is being auctioned by Memory Lane. Apparently, they went with a auction house rather than putting it back on eBay as the inital reports said.

Should be interesting to see how much it goes for.

I believe that was a great choose. They will get way more auctioning it off at Mile High

Hey Randy, just because you personally bought those cards when they were new doesn't mean we can't all be excited. image

And it was trimmed down to nothing! The seller definitely rode the hype of this card...which, by the way, isn't nearly as nice looking as the one that sold for ~$25k a few years ago.

LOL. Starting bid $10.00. Think I can steal this auction at $10.50 if no one notices?

Overkill of hype on the recent find IMO. Its far from a T206 Wagner or a Balt News Ruth....

The 1869 Peck & Snyder CDV/Tradecard is special but far from unique, Ive seen dozens of them (2 types) over the last 30 years (Never owned one, too pricey for a team card IMO).

That Lady is sure making the show appearances and getting her 15 minutes worth for it though,..... good for her image
