NEED HELP: 1967 Laughlin World Series/1970 Fleer World Series

Hi Guys:

Two questions

FIRST: I have just obtained 6 cards like the ones below. It is my understanding that these, although they are labeled 1970 Fleer World Series, are really 1967 Laughlin World Series cards. I believe the black and white cards were issued by Laughlin (the artist) in 1967 and in 1970 he teamed up with Fleer to issue cards similiar to the 67s but in color. ANY AUTHORITIES OUT THERE?

SECOND: If what I am saying is true, should these be sent back to PSA for the correct flip? (I think the '67s are worth more.) If so, am I responsible for shipping both ways? If yes, it may not even be worth it. It is my intention to sell these ... should I just list them as 67's and then explain in my description that they were labeled incorrectly?

Your opinions are greatly appreciated!

Schwartz ... so I would have to pay for shipping TO them and also FROM them based upon their shipping rate schedule? Thanks for the answer. I guess I will list them as is and describe the Flip error.

No, you will only pay for shipping to Newport Beach. CU will pay to have them returned to you.

If these were my cards I would definitely get the flips fixed.

And if you call customer service, you will get a voucher(s) to cover that fee as well. You wont find that info listed on the site though. image

THANKS FOR THE ADDITIONAL INFO GUYS.

Although I just sent in my first submission, I have had many conversations with Cosetta (sp?) regarding some of my Registry Sets. I will call customer service tomorrow (or Tuesday if they are closed) and discuss this with them.

    THANKS AGAIN!

    Doug,

I recently sent a mechanical error sub to PSA and was instructed to do the following:

    1) write "mechanical error" on the top of the sub form
    2) write "mechanical error" on the outside of the package
    3) write the correct description in the blank area on the front of the sub
    4) enter the price of "0" in the Grading Fee, Subtotal, US Registered Mail and Total Charges areas of the sub

As Nick (nam812) stated, you will need to call PSA in order to be reimbursed via voucher for your shipping fee to PSA

If you're going to call Cosetta or Gayle, I'm pretty sure that they won't be back in their offices until Tuesday because they were in NY the past few days doing a show.

Ugh. And here I've probably spent close to $100 over the years sending back my mech. errors.

Thank you, Nick, for the tip. I plan on taking full advantage of that the next time I make my annual roundup of bad flips.
