I picked up a 1942 p silver nickel in change the other day.

    Nice! That's the only year of Wartime Nickels I haven't found in rolls/circulation.

    Grandma cashing in the coin jars for Christmas money would be my guess..

    Seems to be more of this happening recently. A buddy I work with picked up a roll
    of Frankies from the bank he services. The teller he is friends with said an old lady came in
    with a bunch of coins and paper money...

    Times are hard for some people. I was just ribbin' ya on the pics emoticon...

    I just started working at this convenience store for about 2 and 1/2 months and so far I have found 62 Lincoln wheat cents, a 1935 Buffalo Nickel, 1940 Quarter, 1962 Dime and a 44-P Silver Jefferson. Hunting for them is fun.

    I've actually gotten more Silver Nickels in change then any other silver coin type. (4, but I've only been looking since May) Dimes are three. Quarters 0. Halves are 2.
