Nice results! How many Buffaloes did you need to sift through to cherry pick that many 70s?

No cherrypicking on this order, sent all I had, three sets of uncircs. Hope they keep the graders working over the holidays, waiting on results for 3 08W AGE 4-coin sets and 4 prosperity sets.

What's the premium over 69's??
<< <i>Must be NGC graded ... 70's are a "dime a dozen with them." >>
NGC, yes. Wanted quicker turn around on these and got it - 6 days, plus I live in Florida, shorter mail time. I'll take the dozen plus one 70s. I'm sure they're worth a little more than a dime. These are a flip to fund my early commemorative passion.

Should I send my 69s to NGC now? Seems they are VERY VERY loose with the 70s!
<< <i>Hmmmmmmmmmmm. For sure not all of those were really 70s. I have sifted few quite a few of these sets myself and only about 20-25% of the ones I looked at had a chance for a PCGS 70.

Not seems like .. they are very loose with their 70's, that's why NGC 70 graded modern are only bringing in a slight premium over 69 graded PCGS coins.
2008 W gold buffalo uncircs:
PCGS graded - 32 sold, 8 MS69, 24 MS70 (75% graded MS70)
NGC graded - 53 sold, 19 MS69, 34 MS70 (64% graded MS70)
Not very scientific, but only available measuring stick until pops are published by both TPGs. Data to date actually shows PCGS "looser" with the 70s on the uncircs.

Using eBay sales as a measuring stick.
What was the average price difference between the PCGS MS70 and the NGC MS70?

If you haven't learned to use ebay to gauge market sentiment/demand you need to learn to! Like it are not it pretty much determines the value of the coins you hold.
What matters is what will the price difference be at the time I would have gotten them back from PCGS and gotten them to market. My gamble is that the market will be crowded in 2-3 weeks and prices will come down on both PCGS and NGCs. How many of you still holding on to your silver eagle 3 coin anniversary sets waiting for them to go back up? By going the NGC 70 route I am betting that the profit margin will be greater now than the PCGS 69 margin in 2-3 weeks. The flipping game involves a lot of market timing. As stated earlier, this funds my early comm collection. Any profit is all profit.

I figure they're a lot like many of us, there's probably plenty most of us could be doing better.

But just think if they all came back MS70 form PCGS. By the way, I don't think they will crown, if they actually do, until 2 or 3 weeks after the PCGS coins start really hitting the market. Oh, and you can't compare the Buff's to the silver eagle set. Apples and oranges. Besides, I beleive the silver eagle set "crowned" months after they were issued, not 2 to 3 weeks.
Sorry, but I wouldn't consider all 70 from NGC as a "bingo." But, good luck flipping. Please post the links so we can all watch.
..........you did well. put up your umbrella.............for those who wish to rain on your parade.
Good grades non the less. I got about 50% PCGS 70's on my 2008 buffalo submissions.
right now i don't think it matters what grade they will be ,if you want to sell you buffalos now is the time.
this reminds me of the reverse of 07 early this year.
$999.00 for a 2008 W 1/2 oz.
i'm sure glad i got my 1 oz for mint price.

Easy answer. The difference is what someone is going to pay.
Boy some of sound like PCGS is #1 or something. Have any of you heard of Intrest only financing for 5 years? Geeze hate to see the price of PCGS if something God forbid would happen to that company.
<< <i>Not to be rude, but why post NGC grades on the PCGS boards? >>
Jesse, I guess for the same reason you post NGC coins in the PCGS BST forum - cause it's where I hang out!
I posted the grades for two reasons.
1. I was very happy with them.
2. 13 out of 13 PF/MS70 I believe to be above average, even if it is NGC.
