Small circulation find...

My wife brought these back last night from the supermarket where she works. Some one paid their total with these 11 halves. 1- 1936, 4- 1964, 1- 1964-D, 2- 1966, 3- 1967. I won't get rich over night on these but still cool to find a little cache like this.

Nice catch. I have to say from the bleeding heart side its to bad someone had to spend them to get a small amount of groceries.

WOW. I've never gotten a Walker. Lucked into a hoard of 40% Kennedies at the bank, once, in one of the very, very few times I could get halves a tall.

    That's way cool.

And I was feelin' happy with myself for getting an AU58 to low-MS 1954 nickel with pretty pink-orange toning out of the till at work the other night. How such a high grade 53-year-old Jeff got there is anyone's guess. It's my first cherrypick at work, not counting some unbroken BU rolls of '99-P GA quarters.

  • Amazing these can still be picked off from circulation.

I have an uncle that was around and into coins in the mid 60s right after the Clad took over. He would buy out any Silver coins (mostly Halves) in the store's till. He said there was still a lot of people spending the 90% Silver Halves at least into the late 60s.
