anyone into sterling silver, at 92.5% silver content, it appears to be a better deal than 90% silver

anyone have any thoughts, and the pros and cons of sterling
silver vs silver rounds, coins etc?

  • In my neck of the woods sterling is harder to sell. And you get less than spot for teh silver content.

    you'd have to look at eBay for some ending prices, and also have a knowledge of what may be considered a value for it's design and rarity as well, it may be something you would just resell as is. i think it would be difficult for the average Joe to put a "value on a pickle fork", yet a 64 Kennedy half would be known easily if one was ever in a situation to barter silver for goods or services.

    i have a beautiful set from 1932, all the bells and whistles.

  • I've seen tons of sterling bars sell for below melt on eBay even recently when there has been huge premium on silver.
    Its all relative
