I hope this is not the case here, but this remind me of a young well like error dealer, Mike Greer, anyone remember him?
Thousands of good deals over many years and all of a sudden failed to deliver my 2002 11c piece and disappeared.
Oh when I ask for insurance info. I got the run around also, let me said that the buyers has a right to the insurance info also since they are a part of the investigations.

Cammie: I would be happy to review that information privately and not reveal specific trackings numbers (just that I received them from you and what the USPS.gov website says about them) if you desire. Just PM me if you would like me to do that. Wondercoin

In reviewing the Modern Bullion thread, it became clear on Dec. 9th that the Proof Plats had sold out quickly on the night of Dec. 8th, and then there was a general *realization* that the Proofs just might have been short-struck. That *realization* then played itself out over the next several days in that thread as it became more and more evident that the 2008 Proofs might become the keys.
Prior to then, the 2008 Proofs were a non-event. Just my observation.

Alot of you are dumb asses... Carmeron owes nothing to you, he doesn't have to prove anything to anyone but his buyers... Coinboy you can STFU, you're acting like a child. 2manycoins2fewfunds, I'm sure if you were affected personally Cam would be happy to pm you a pic... otherwise you can STFU too.

If I'd owned (15) 2008-W 4-Coin Proof Sets on Dec. 8th, I might have been selling them for $2,500 or so - maybe even less if I'd wanted to generate cash for another purchase.
However, if I'd read the Modern Bullion thread on Dec. 9th, I'd say to myself, "Holy Smokes", "I might want to re-price these sets, because they might be the KEYS of the whole Plat Proof Series, in each and every DENOMINATION."
But, if I had already listed them on ebay, and if they'd received bids already, I wouldn't be able to re-price them, and if they'd already been bought - then I'd be stuck selling them way cheap. So be it. Next time, know your market!
I emphatically think that the buyers of these auctions have legitimate questions, and the fact that this is being done out in public shouldn't make any difference in terms of Mr. Kiefer's integrity. I'm rooting for him, simply on the basis of what I've heard around here in the past.
However, a completed ebay auction is a contract, whether or not the coins are lost in the Post Office or not. If they weren't properly insured, then the Buyers shouldn't have to suffer for Mr. Kiefer's negligence, unless the Buyers specified "no insurance". Then, it's caveat emptor if the buyers were dumb enough to insist on not paying for insurance.
Let the facts come to the surface as they must. The fact that I might be a dumb ass has no bearing on the relative merits of this situation.
Q: Are You Printing Money? Bernanke: Not Literally
I think this last "batch" of sets was bagged by an employee of HIS local P.O. They, most likely, left that building in someone else's trunk NOT a U.S.P.S. truck. JMHO Good luck in the recovery process Cameron!

Just for your information, beloved is quite an extreme choice of word as I only know Cameron from years past on the board.
I have known some well respected people who conducting several years of business and were (at least thought ) to be upstanding/intergrity, yet only to vanish after making a big grand finale scam. I hope that is not what has happened here, but reading this thread gives me an erie feeling on this whole transaction.

coinnut86 (who may need to read this under an alt by now) DOES make a valid point, about Cam's not owing the masses anything, just the people he dealt with directly. HOWEVER, it's because of the amount of participation Cam took on these very boards, it's because of his pronounced presence on these boards in the past that some people NOT affected directly want answers as badly as those who WERE part of the debacle. It's up to Cam as to whether or not he wants to make it public, to allow all those members NOT directly affected, to know his business.
IMHO, due to the stature/presence/involvement Cam has had on these boards, I think it would be in his best interest to make it public, thereby stifling those accusing him of having an agenda for not making it public. My reasoning is simple....Cam's been here a long time, he got to know ALOT of you (and vice versa). NOW, there are some (not all) that have alot of faith and trust in Cam (that he desrevedly/rightly EARNED through diligence and hard work) that are now having that faith/trust tested. Personally, I'm hoping he does just drop a bomb publicly, proving it went down just as he say's it did. He has never given anyone on these boards reason to think he'd pull a stunt like some think he did.

jdimmick, you are 100% correct. Look at the latest mess, with the nonsense from the Anaconda nightmare, where Brandon got stiffed. The MOC nightmare.....yeah, I have lurked a long time, and remember a few of those 'curtain calls' you bring up. As I said in an earlier post, can't wait to see the fallout after the dust settles. I DO give Cam the benefit of the doubt, but I have been wrong before. I hope I am not wrong here, but I'll have to wait and see.

Agreed. That was very well said, but out of respect to those directly effected, everything should get hashed out with them before answering to those accusing him of blatant wrong doing. It is common sport on this board to review sales practices of others especially if something seems odd. It is done all the time and as far as I can tell being directly involved in transaction has never been a requirement to voice opinions.
Now here is an ethical question..... Everyone would agree to sell an item with no intention to deliver is a crime. What if you sell say 20K of product and discover you have under priced and left 10K on the table? You haven't delivered product yet and you don't know buyers personally. Can you blame loss of product on USPS and then refund all $$$?? What would you call that action??
Loss of an insured item through postal service is an appox. 1 in 5,000-10,000 event. I'd judge the likelyhood of a potential 10K loss of profit corrupting someones scruples is far higher than 1 in 5,000.

To another point in a Hypothetical, if it was done like this, obviously a guy like this can't move sets on Ebay or BST, anymore.
I'm sure a group of guys on this Board have already emailed him on the side to try and help him unload the sets he kept and did not send out.

<< <i>Lol, you're right, that was slightly childish, offensive even. Though you probably won't accept my apology I am sorry, I didn't mean to offend anyone. I was frustrated with the accusations being made against this young man and I spouted off without thinking. >>
Accepted, sorry about my verbiage back at you, as well.
I think if you read thru the thread you will see why. Too many inconsistencies in his explanation.

Only someone like cornboy would make an ass of himself hurling accusations when all he has is a keyboard mouth and zero proof.

<< <i>Why hasn't he taken Wondercoin up on his offer? I have dealt with Mitch and sent him a $2,100 item only on his word and wasn't disappointed, I trust him 100%. >>
Maybe he hasn't been on the board since Wondercoin made the offer. >>

<< <i>You guys must be bored.
Just having fun.
Me too, Mitch is impeccable, IMHO.
Yet, he never responded to Mitch.
You need to see a professional.
