Modern Gold Commem. Toning ?

Hi Folks-
I've seen a few 1997 Jackie Robinson $5 Gold UNCs listed on Ebay in which the listing mentions "slight toning" or the like.
Is this seen on many modern commems.? I'm relatively new to coins and have not heard much about gold toning.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks and have a nice weekend.

Just a tad of toning here, but still scored a PCGS 65:

I just bought a 1995 W ASE Proof, praying that no milk spots appear on that one!
Thanks!
Milk spotting is a side effect of the mint practice of washing the planchants and the rinse not getting off the surface contaminates i.e. the soap off. This spotting happened on many early proofs in the Kennedy series also. Russ said many times that he rinsed his Special Mint set coins to neutralize the process.
Myself I have found that the Modern commens with toning seem to sell at a dicount. I was able to get this one at melt value.

Did you use a ringlight? Great pic indeed.
