1965 Cent - Error Or Post-Mint Damage?

A very Happy Thanksgiving to everyone!
I have had this cent for a while and there are quite a few marks on it, but they do not appear to be scratches as the metal is not raised on the sides of them. There are also two very small laminations in the metal on the obverse near the date, which leads me to think this may be a strike-through error. It looks like the coin has been struck through quite a bit of stuff but I am also not certain if this was somehow done by someone after the coin left the mint. Not sure if anyone has seen anything like this before. I have attached a bunch of scans and pictures, any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
