I am thankful for having great friends in the collecting community, some of whom I have never met (including Longacre and Russ), and a place to share stories, tips, photos, and laughs, some of which are actually coin-related, here at the CU forum. image

I'm thankful for being able to enjoy collecting in so many more ways now than when I was a kid - interacting with a variety of collectors here on the forum; looking at quality pictures of coins on websites; having so much information about coins available at my fingertips.

I'm also thankful that every once in a while I get to buy a coin I could only dream about when I was young.

    Happy Thanksgiving all! image

I am thankful for so many blessings and a country where reasonable freedom and prosperity exists (for now) to enable me to spend a little time in a hobby called coin collecting. My thanks goes to the great provider, God.

I am also thankful that I misread the title of your thread on first glance.

The PM function. I get to know people better through there then through here. image
  • I'd say I would have to be thankful to the people who freely contributed to the hobby, be it knowledge, help or simply being decent honest sellers/buyers/dealers. My wife for ignoring my obs^H^H^Hhobby (and for giving me a wonderful YN ).

That I used those in my younger days.
I manage money. I earn money. I save money .
I give away money. I collect money.
I don’t love money . I do love the Lord God.

So many things to be thankful for ...

    In coindom (and yes, I origionally misread the title also image) I am thankful for;

Here ... these boards, where a quirky infestation of collectors, dealers, wannabes and trolls
shares thoughts, lives and most interesting bits of history, knowledge and wisdom freely

Friends and aquaintences I have met through the hobby, both here and away

and finally, my modest collection ... something I have pursued for 20 years now, and which still
gives me pleasure and solace ... and which is something I can thankfully afford to keep as a
caretaker (for now) and continuing to pursue building (in the future).

    Happy Thanksgiving all!!
