The PCGS price guide lists the 1996's at $130 in MS69 and most other dates are under $50 for MS69. 20 rolls worth at $130 each gives you a total price of $52,000.
  • I see rolls of these offered as BIN's on ebay for 1000 bucks or so a roll, 500 a roll is pretty good for them.
imageQuid pro quo. Yes or no?
  • If the rolls are all milk spotted, they would have almost no numismatic premium. If they are all pristine gems (MS 69+), it's a bargain. I should note that raw 96s are going for between $35-$50 on ebay. To get the most bang for the buck you gotta slab 'em.

    even at 35-50 thats 700-1000 a roll
    CDN bid is 42.00

500 a roll seems like a bargin you might even get him to go down on price

Personally, it sounds bogus to me, but I may be wrong.

  • Well, I know nothing of grading or anything so I think I'll leave it alone. Sounds like a great deal though. If anyone is interested I'll direct you to the ad where you can email him/her.

I would not touch it unless I could pick them up in person at a public place.

Of course. He did show pics in the listing, It was a green box full of tubes, one was open. I asked for a pic of them with my email addy on a piece of paper in front of the ASE's to see if he actually has them.

Wear a bullet proof vest and make sure you know kung-fu when you pick them up.

    Sounds sketchy....

    Yeah, agreed.

I'd need to see them first and in a public place like my bank lobby.

I have several of them in PCGS slabs, nearly all MS 69 and one very lucky 70.

Problem with a couple of the 69's and a few of the raw ones are that they are horribly milkspotted.

If they were problem free and clearly UNC in the tubes, I buy the batch in a second.
