I used to buy a 1oz Credit Suise gold bar (sealed in a "certified" card) each month to squirrel away... But had to cash 'em in a couple years ago due to finacial difficulties <sigh>
Very cool! One thing I realized quite quickly is make sure you don't leave the 1 gram laying around on your messy desk. I lost one that way and never found it.
