Looking for feedback on the 2009 Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards Bonus DVD

I am curious about the DVD that comes with the book. A description I saw says that the DVD has the entire book on it, and that you can search by keyword and even blow up the pictures of the cards for closer detail inspections.

IF anyone has bought the product and tried out the DVD, can you tell me what you think?

The description also says it has listings of "modern" minor league cards on it. Does this section also have pictures and a searchable function--say if I wanted to search by a player's name ,could I easily get a list of all his minor league cards? What years are covered by this "modern" definition?

I am thinking about buying the 2009 edition specifically for the DVD, but wanted to know how useful other collectors have found it to be. I have many player collections, and these include minor league cards, so if the hype (as I think I understand it) makes it seem like a nice product--but I don't know anyone who has actually bought it.

Fedback would be greatly appreciated. Thanks for any help.
I collect Vintage Cards, Commemorative Sets, and way too many vintage and modern player collections in Baseball (180 players), Football (175 players), and Basketball (87 players). Also have a Dallas Cowboy team collection.

The sale of bootleg copies of Standard Catalog DVDs is one of the reasons that Krause/F+W resisted for so long making its data available digitally.

While I understand there is a measure of copy protection on the catalog DVDs, it is apparently not too difficult to compromise. I also know that Krause/F+W is making at least a half-fast effort to track down pirates.

For the OP, sorry to report that the DVD only provides the same information that is on the printed pages of the corresponding edition. For modern (1981+) minor leagues, this means checklist listings for those sets that were issued in packs, but not the team sets from TCMA, Best, ProCards, etc.
