Why don't we post threads about individual "bullion" issues more frequently?

It has appeared to me that there are very few threads addressing specific bullion coins now that the precious metals forum has been up and running for a while.

Sometimes the pace is rather slow on this forum.

It might be nice to have people talk about the "coin" aspects of the bullion issues and related topics.

Maybe the people who said bullion coins were just bullion have bullied us to the point that we are now capitulating.

Or, has the "crash" been responsible?

I'll begin......

I really like the fractional buffalo "coins" even if they are a retread.

I have one F/S MS 70 $25, and two F/S MS 70 $10's

F/S, Yeah .... I know, but......
And I ain't lying this time.

    I'm with you!

I will buy one for my collection, Gold, not Palladium. I really like this design; I doubt that I will have it put in a slab.

I have found that as a seller I have to avoid "falling in love with my coins" but this one is just too good to pass up.

The fractional Buffalo's I’ll pick one up eventually, probably the 1/4 ounce, closer to the size of the Buffalo Nickel and add it to my Buffalo collection.

Also now that I’m dealing in a few Maple Leafs I just might try putting a collection of them together when the prices get to some kind of realistic level.

This could be difficult for roll collectors. How many will be in a roll?image

  • I think I'll be on that same bandwagon.

Just one of the high reliefs would suit me just fine and something to put away.

I've had the opportunity to hold and look over a couple of the original high reliefs.

    Remarkable coins indeed!

Yeah, I'm already a fool for the HR's. Thank goodness they don't come out till January because I busted my coin budget for the rest of '08 buying the buff fractional set. I will say that the fractional buffs are a very handsome set.
  • I like the idea of threads on bullion coins, of course, those that know my posts from the USCF know I like to take pictures. image

So in honor of the Buffalos, may I submit these.... (I may start a couple more threads later image )

reusing the same old designs on bullion rounds does not get any
kudos from me. typical slop created to attract collector interest who
    will buy mostly anything.

and the designs not reused.. like the plats.. are few and far between
for the good looking ones. did you see that politcally correct one with
the heads on the back? lol.

    my two cents.
