I was able to slip Golden Dollars into most of the kids bags without them knowing it. I was 'made' only once.

It's the economy - people can't afford to go out and get free candy.

Do you know who invented Halloween? A dentist back in the old country. There were many kids that had rotten teeth from eating sugar and they looked like freaks. They were scary and this genius Dentist figured since many kids were picked on and laughed at he created a night for kids to dress up and all would be the same for at least one night.

    Halloween BLOWS!!!

I have 0 trick or treater's, where is everyone? I guess people don't want to go out after dark anymore.

I just have to eat all the canies myself.image

I handed out about 250 pieces of candy. And seeded their candy bags with somewhere around 60 golden dollars.

It was quite a busy scene between 6pm and 8:30pm.

I do enjoy my little neighborhood.

I suspect that each neighborhood has it's own "Halloween Inertia". Some are sleepy, don't get many kids, and thus aren't very decorated and inviting. Who wants to stay around all night for three groups of kids?

And then some neighborhoods really do it up, get tons of traffic, and become 'known' in the local area as the place to go.

We went through 10 bags of candy this year, the trick or treaters were out en masse in my neighborhood !!! All the kids were out before dark. Once the sun set it was all teenagers and even a few high school seniors !!

Halloween is alive and well in the South !
