Obverse - are those scratches at the feet of lady liberty?? I like the original toning though! And there appears to be strong luster. >>
They appear to be cracks, but they are so tiny its almost impossible for my eye to tell if they are incused or raised even with a 10x glass. Notice that the "line" stops at her right shin and picks up again between her claves? Hard to imagine being able to scratch a coin in such a miniscule and protected area as that. I'll try to get a close-up photo of the area in question.
