Heads UP- OT but concerningcash for coins

I expect this message to poof.
I have an acct with Wachovia, they really know how to ring your account. Someone had used my acct and routing #s at a wal-mart creating nearly 1 grand in overdrafts. I did manage to get refunds, but not for everything and the balance got down to -400 something. So I went to a BB&T and opened a new checking acct. On 10/10 my gf, I call wife, deposited 500, or says she did(we cant find the slip yet). The bank reported a deposit of 500 made by LOAN CENTRUION FUND. I had no clue what this was, but I was expecting 500 from Donna at that same exact time, so I thought nothing of it with the acct being new. Last week "Payday Loan services" charge my unused Wachovia account $150 twice causing 2 $35 fees. Friday LOAN CENTRUION FUND hit my new account causing 215 dollars in over draft fees. there is more: LOAN CENTRUION FUND and "Payday Loan services" are one in the same. Hmm...Payday? Folks, I'm severely disabled, can't work, haven't seen a paycheck in 19 years and try to live off the lousy 630 bucks from Social Security each month. So why in the world would I apply for a Payday loan? These entities are run by Geneva Roth and they use credit and consumer reports to get your data. Donna thinks they got this when I opened my new account or when she used my bank info to finance a car.. I know a lot of collectors and such are lawyers, so can someone offer me advice? Perhaps there is a class action suit.

i would be taking a hard look at the gf (wife) to be honest.

i have no idea how one could use your acct and routing #s at walmart
    to do anything...

and if you just opened a new account and already have trouble with
it... who else knew about it except the gf.

sorry to be so hard on her... but truly.. something stinks.

any mail come up missing recently? as in you expected something but
    it never arrived?

Knowing only what I have read, I would agree.

  • Document as best as you can, then go to your local TV station consumer advocate. Have them do a segment on predatory lending. Companies usually quickly straighten things out once the bad publicity comes rolling in.

I'm not 100% sure, but I will tell you what know about it: Suppose you send a check to an eBay seller for a 1832 bust half and he sends the item(this is the case; I always use Pay-pal), This seller does not cash your check, there is a water like solution used to remove ink(I forget the name), he submerges your check and bingo; he has a blank check. Next he goes shopping at wal-mart where they use electronic check scanners then return the check to you, the presenter. Thus: all checks have the account and routing # in magnetic ink. Another thought is perhaps this ink can be purchased. A more probable theory is: the #s were neatly cut off and replaced the #s of another check and even ID was shown. During this sherade I quickly learned that this scam is common and Wachovia even has a Wal-mart Fraud Dept. I was unable to get fully reimbursed for all damages. AVOID WACHOVIA LIKE LEPROCY!!!!!! SCARRY STUFF HUH? And the car finance dept has knowledge of both accts.

And I have been eyeing the wife, just not pointing a finger.

I get the feeling this is goingg to hit bi-monthly, weekly on both accts.

  • Sounds to me (from the limited info here) that the GF may have taken out a payday loan, made the deposit into your new account (since they were in the same timeframe and for the same amount of money) and may not be being up front. I hope for your sake I am wrong, but you should be able to get copies of the checks that were deposited, and contact info for who is taking out the money, and contact them to find out what the real deal is. Even my little country bank has copies of my deposits available to view online. Sounds like a big mess, but usually when it comes down to it, these situations do not end up being the bank's fault.

Good luck, and I recommend sending a dispute letter to the banks requesting copies of all transactions, checks, deposits, etc. for the time period involved.
