Here's another: 1858 Flying Eagle

I was disappointed when I got home to see the rim dings @ 12 and 6. I think those auctions houses are poorly lit for a reason. image
What do you guys/gals think with regards to a grade/value?

It was a local estate auction. All in person bidding, nothing online.
Not painful, just another learning experience.

  • grade I guess would be 35-40 details damaged.

I really don't know what the value would be with the damage I would guess $30-$40 ?

I learned that if the lighting is poor better to not buy that day or bring your own light source.
  • 30 details, but the size of the rim bump under the date would be enough for me to walk away from this one. I'd imagine its worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $65 however.
