Carl, can you make the bubbles 'move' by touching them with a pin? Or puncture the surface? If not, it would be pre-plating contamination or surface irregularities. Cheers, RickO

RickO - This Lincoln resides in a proof set. I don't want to crack it out of the US Mint plastic holder. They look solid though.

This happened to a lot of the Zincolns, especially from the mid and late 80's business strike and proofs.
