So Gecko's done it...
He posted a video showcasing the various different Panda designs throughout the years and now I'm officially hooked on them. Within 20 minutes of his posting, I've already purchased two NGC MS69 1/20 and intend on building an entire set, minus proofs. I would've chosen a larger size but the 1/20s fit any budget and I'm a US coin collector first, so these are enough to get me feet wet, as some may say.
Anyways, enough ranting, just giving some more thanks to Gecko and his cool vid.

<< <i>Glad to read that there is still some growing interest in the China Panda coins. Just 1 piece of information: there is NO 1/20 ounce struck for 1982 so your collection will be from 1983 to the present. Good luck.
I found that out after I already bought the other two on a whim and was bummed, but thanks for re-iterating just in case someone else catches the bug and decides to jump into the series.

<< <i>Anyone know where an accurate representation of the 1/20 oz. mintages can be found at? Are the PandaAmerica figures correct? >>
Here is a fantastic reference. Sorry about the 1982 fiasco, I just assumed most people knew that. On the brighter side however, some panda experts dont even consider 1982 as an official part of the set as none of those 4 coins carry a denomination, which "technically" makes them medals and NOT coins.

Thanks for the link!

<< <i>No need to apologize, I jumped the gun, but regardless I was going to build a 1/20 set to keep the cost down but still appreciate the series for what it is.
Thanks for the link!

Sure, that will be in 2017! I currently only have 8 unique dates in the 1oz with a few dupes currently on ebay. 1984, 1992, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1998, 1999, 2002. Its a work in progress. What i'd really love to see is a video of your 1oz commems and platinum collection.

If there ever is one then it would be somebody else doing it for me. Can't even do a decent pic of my coins much less a video.
